The project.
A local hospitality venue commissioned Forged In Frames to create a promotional aerial video and photography showcasing the unique location and surroundings of their property.
The objective was to highlight the venue's setting and distinctive access to the river.
The Challenge
What needed solving.
The venue's strongest selling points were not immediately visible from ground level.
The client wanted potential visitors to understand the relationship between the building, the surrounding landscape and the nearby waterway.
The Approach
How we planned it.
Following an initial project consultation, the decision was made to focus heavily on aerial cinematography.
Particular attention was given to:
- Riverside positioning
- Water access
- Nearby weir
- Surrounding environment
- Overall visitor experience
Production
On set.
A cinematic overview.
Aerial footage was captured across the site to create a cinematic overview of the venue and its location.
The final edit combined multiple perspectives to create a smooth visual journey that showcased both the property itself and the surrounding natural features that make the location unique.
Ground level atmosphere.
Alongside the aerial work, ground photography captured the frontage, terrace and the atmosphere of a busy afternoon at the venue.
These frames give the aerial film context - the signage, seating and crowd that visitors actually arrive to.
The river itself.
A separate set of frames followed the waterway around the venue: the lock, the moorings, boats passing and rowers on the water.
Together they explain the relationship between the building and the river that makes the location distinctive.
